At the OPERAS Innovation Lab we aim at observing, recognising, and supporting innovation in the humanities and social sciences. Search and recognition come before support – therefore we invite innovators and creators to share their projects with the Lab’s team and present their innovative approach on the Observatory blog. Your contributions will be disseminated within the OPERAS communities and help us discern innovations in SSH.
Thanks to your engagement the OPERAS Innovation Lab will efficiently design its tools and methods, so that projects such as your gain adequate support.
We warmly invite innovators in the Social Sciences and Humanities to share their projects with the OPERAS Innovation Lab Observatory blog.
If you are:
- a creator or co-creator of an innovative project in the field of scholarly communication in SSH,
- in need for users, testers and would like to hear some feedback from the OPERAS community,
- looking for support in developing your project,
pitch your idea for a blog post targeted at wider SSH audiences of the OPERAS Innovation Lab Observatory.
How to present your idea?
We are seeking thoughtful posts that describe the challenges your project addresses, the solutions you are developing, and the impact these innovations can have on scholarly communication. Therefore you may try to structure your post replying to the following questions:
- What is the problem in scholarly communication you are addressing?
- What is your solution?
(present your project in 2-5 sentences: what does it do? Who does it target? How is it implemented?) - Are there any similar projects you know of? How is your idea different?
- What is the current state of your project: what is lacking? What do you need?
A typical post should have app. 2-3 pages (800-1200 words). Your contributions will enrich our community and promote collaboration. Please send your submissions to innovation@operas-eu.org and join us in advancing SSH research and communication.
We will get back to you with our feedback, work on the communication together and post your idea on the Observatory blog.
